SUMMARY

Microsoft has created a Microsoft PowerPoint add-in that allows you to convert all linked images in a presentation to embedded images. This add-in can help you work around Pack and Go problems, in which linked images are not included in a packed presentation.

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help to prevent any unauthorized changes to the file. When you double-click the Embed.exe file, the Embed.ppa file is extracted to the folder that you choose. Microsoft recommends that you place the Embed.ppa file in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office
To set up the add-in, follow these steps:
1.Start Microsoft PowerPoint. If you see the startup dialog box, click Cancel.
2.On the Tools menu, click Add-Ins.
3.Click Add New.
4.Click the Embed.ppa file, and then click OK.
To use this add-in, open a presentation that contains many linked images that you would like to convert to embedded images. On the Tools menu, click Embed Linked Images.
