Missing Tabs in Display Properties and No OpenGL Support After You Upgrade to Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade from Microsoft Windows 98 to Windows XP, the extra options and tabs in Display Properties and OpenGL may be missing. In Windows 98 these were present if you used the manufacturer's drivers.

CAUSE

The Windows 98 drivers are upgraded automatically to Windows XP video drivers, and the Windows XP video drivers do not have OpenGL support.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact your video hardware manufacturer for drivers that are compatible with Windows XP and that provide OpenGL support.
