PowerPoint 2000
Movie Troubleshooter
|
You can insert your movie
into PowerPoint, but PowerPoint cannot play it.
If you cannot play your movie
in PowerPoint, one of the first things to check is whether or not
another program is interfering with PowerPoint. Try quitting
all of your other running programs, and then attempt to play the
movie in PowerPoint again. The following steps help you to make
sure that another running program is not interfering with
PowerPoint.
NOTE: In step 2, if you
press DELETE more than once in a row, your computer may
restart. In step 3, if you select Explorer, and then click End
Task, your computer may shut down, and you may need to restart it.
-
Close and save anything that you
may be working on, and close any programs that are open.
-
Hold down CTRL+ALT, and then
press DELETE one time, and one time only.
-
This opens the Close
Program dialog box in Microsoft Windows 98. Select the first listed
process, except for Explorer or Systray, and then
click End Task.
-
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until
no programs are listed in the Close Program dialog
box, except for Explorer and (optionally) Systray.
-
Open PowerPoint, and
attempt to insert your movie again.
