Symptoms

When you start Microsoft Office Outlook or when you click a Microsoft Dynamics CRM folder in Outlook, you are prompted to enter your user name and password multiple times. This symptom occurs on a Windows Vista-based computer.

Cause

This problem occurs because the value of the following registry subkey is removed by a Microsoft Dynamics CRM add-in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_SUBDOWNLOAD_LOCKDOWN\outlook.exeNote The correct value of the subkey is zero.

Resolution

This problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
