This article describes update 4462141 for Microsoft Outlook 2013 that was released on February 5, 2019. This update also applies to Office Home and Student 2013 RT.
Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2013. It doesn't apply to the Office 2013 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see Determining your Office version).
Improvements and fixes
This update fixes the following issues:

Recipients see incorrect message body format in a received Outlook template. This issue occurs if the Outlook template is sent as an attachment when Outlook 2013 is connected to Exchange Online.

Assume that you have Outlook 2013 and a Skype for Business application installed on a computer with Windows 10 or later versions. When the Skype for Business application automatically starts, a prompt for Skype for Business credentials appear behind other windows.

When you try to open the Rules and Alerts dialog box, the dialog box doesn't open and you receive the following error message:
The operation failed because of a registry or installation problem. Restart Outlook and try again. If the problem persists, reinstall.

Go to Start, enter View Installed Updates in the Search Windows box, and then press Enter.

In the list of updates, locate and select KB4462141, and then select Uninstall.
Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then select Search. If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then select Search.

Enter windows update, select Windows Update, and then select Installed Updates.

In the list of updates, locate and select KB4462141, and then select Uninstall.
Windows 7

Go to Start, enter Run, and then select Run.

Enter Appwiz.cpl, and then select OK.

Select View installed updates.

In the list of updates, locate and select KB4462141, and then select Uninstall.
