Fix OneDrive sync issues

Can't sync files between your computer and OneDrive? Try the following:

  1. Check that OneDrive is running by looking for the OneDrive cloud icon on the menu bar or notification area. Manually open the OneDrive app on your computer if you don't see the icon.

  2. If you exceed your Microsoft storage, you won’t be able to upload, edit, or sync new files (such as Camera Roll) to your OneDrive. Learn more.

  3. Check for updates in Windows or Mac and ensure that the OneDrive desktop app is up to date by downloading the latest version.
    Download OneDrive

  4. If OneDrive shows “Processing changes" for a long time, it could be because you have an online file open, lots of files stuck in a queue, or a very large file syncing.

  5. Use our guided support troubleshooting tool to help resolve the problem.
