Incorrect disclaimer is displayed in the Product Activation wizard in the Polish version of Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You try to activate Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 by using the Product Activation wizard.
  • The online activation fails. For example, the activation fails because of network issues.
  • The Product Activation wizard displays a telephone number to help the Windows activation.
In this scenario, you incorrectly receive the following disclaimer:
Some charges may still apply for freephone numbers.
Note This issue only occurs in the Polish version of Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

Resolution

After you apply this update, the disclaimer will change to the following:
Some charges may be applied by local operators for toll-free numbers in certain countries or regions.
