As an MPN Partner, you have access to yearly subscriptions to software, support, and benefits your businesses if you want to begin, build, and grow your Microsoft practice in the cloud-first, mobile-first world through MAPS, Silver and/or Gold competencies.
Once you have acquired a subscription, in your Benefits tab, in your Partner Center dashboard, you can review, activate, sort or download the benefits of interest belonging to one of the categories available to you, by clicking on either of the following tabs, if you are an user with Global Admin or an MPN Partner Admin role:
- Azure & Cloud products
- Software products
- Visual Studio subscriptions
- Technical benefits
If you are unsure on where to find your MPN benefits in your Partner Center dashboard, please follow the guidance outlined here.
If you are looking for what benefits are offered to you through MAPS, Silver and/ or Gold Competencies, you can find them here:
If you are looking to find a general overview of the Benefits offered through our MPN offers, please read our Benefits Overview in Partner Center article.
Visual Studio Subscriptions
This tab shows all the Visual Studio subscriptions license grants that you are entitled to as part of the active enrollment offer you have in your account – MAPS, Silver and/or Gold -, the offer type that provisioned that benefit product to you, the benefit type (whether it comes from core, or incremental) and the date of expiry of that benefit.
You receive Visual Studio Professional subscriptions, which include the latest version of Visual Studio Professional, Windows Pro, Windows Server, and SQL Server Enterprise for internal development and testing. All Visual Studio subscriptions are licensed per user and must be assigned and activated to be valid.
You can select a user from within the company (including one of your guest users), that has a user entry created in your Azure Active Directory.
The assigned user will be able to login to the Visual Studio portal and manage their subscription. Within the Visual Studio subscriber portal, users may be able to add an alternate identity - in addition to the identity you used during activation. Today, we allow you to add an alternate identity if you used a Microsoft account to activate your subscription. This way you can also add a work or school account (which you use when logging into Visual Studio, Office 365, or your corporate or school network), allowing you to access Azure DevOps using both your personal account and your work or school account. Read more about Identities for Visual Studio subscribers here.
You can reassign users as often as you want, if only the maximum numbers of users assigned concurrently is as per the number of Visual Studio subscriptions granted.
How to filter benefits?
There are added filtering capabilities in all of the benefits tabs (Azure & Cloud products, Software products, Visual Studio Subscriptions, Technical benefits and Go-to-Market) that are Benefit type and Offer type . With these filtering capabilities you can:
choose to see what benefits were provisioned to you by Benefit type (Core/ Incremental).
choose to see what benefits were provisioned to you by all active offers in your account or by individual offers in your account.
Also, a Search box has been added where the partner can search a specific product.
Note: To access, view and manage MPN Benefits, Guest users need to have Global Admin/MPN Partner Admin roles. Please find below the experience in Partner Center for a Guest user with no admin privileges on the tenant.
