Microsoft Band automatically tracks your steps to calculate the distance you travel each day––while you’re working out or just working––and to measure progress against your goals.

 Set a Step goal

Step 1: On your phone, tap the Microsoft Band app.
Step 2: On the Home screen, tap Steps

Step 3: On the day tab next to Step Goal, tap Edit

Step 4: On the Edit Goal circle, slide the white touch-point around the circle. The selected number of steps will display.
Step 5: Tap Accept

 View your steps

There are a few ways to see your steps stats: on your band, in the Microsoft Band app on your phone, and online in your Microsoft Health web dashboard.

On your band

Step 1: On your Microsoft Band, press the power button.
Step 2: From the Me Tile, do one of the following:

  • Repeatedly press the action button to cycle through the day and date and
    stats to see Steps

  • Tap the Me Tile, and swipe left to see your stats. The bar along the
    bottom shows your progress towards your daily steps goal.

On your phone

Step 1: Tap the Microsoft Band app, and on the Home screen, tap Steps

Step 2: Swipe to view day (steps by hour) and week (steps by date) charts.
Step 3: View the data (of your last day or week) below the graph, and scroll down and select from your history to see how you have performed previously.
Step 4: On the day tab, tap the chart to cycle through stats for steps and heart rate.
