Consider the following scenario. You run one of the following cmdlets without specifying a mailbox that the default test account is used in the Exchange Management Shell on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 server:
If a test account does not exist, you can run the New-TestCasConnectivityUser.ps1
script to create the test account. In this scenario, you receive the following message:
Please enter a temporary secure password for creating test users. For security, the password will be changed regularly and automatically by the system.
However, the password is changed by the system only when the following conditions are true:
- The Exchange organization is monitored by a System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 server.
- The SCOM server has Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for SCOM 2007 installed.
The help information about Exchange Server 2010 states that "The password for the test account is typically reset every 7 days.".
