Baseball 2001: Game Screen Is Distorted or Textures Disappear

When you play Microsoft Baseball 2001, the game screen may be distorted
and textures in the game may disappear. In addition, the computer may stop
responding (hang).

This behavior can occur if a video adapter based on the Chromatic Research
Mpact 2 3DVD chip set is installed in your computer.

To work around this issue, disable 3D hardware acceleration in
Baseball 2001:

  1. Start Baseball 2001.
  2. On the Home Plate screen, click Options.
  3. Click the Graphics tab.
  4. Under Mode, click Software.
  5. Click OK.
