How does the Outlook Integration work with CRM?


The Outlook Integration allows you to integrate contacts, tasks and appointments between Axapta and Outlook.

The user will need to be setup in Axapta under Employee Option to integrate with Outlook. Employee Option can be found by going to CRM | Setup | CRM Parameters | Employee Option.

To synchronize Axapta and Outlook, verify that the mail account setup in Control Panel of the client computer matches the Outlook User Identification that is listed in the Employee option form. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Mail.
  2. Click Email Accounts, and then click to select the View or change existing e-mail accounts option.
  3. Click Next, and then click Change.
The User Name that is listed must match the Outlook User ID in Axapta. The synchronization that occurs between Axapta and Outlook is a synchronization with the Outlook client on the computer. No server integration synchronizes to the Exchange Server at this time.
