Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You create an IP Address Management (IPAM) server that is running Windows Server 2012 R2 in an environment, and then you configure a static IP address range by using IPAM.

The IP address of a Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) server, the IP address of a Domain Name System (DNS) server, the IP address of a gateway, a reserved IP address, a reserved IP address range, a virtual IP address, or a virtual IP address range uses the IP address in the static IP range.

You try to find free IP addresses by clicking Find and Allocate Available IP address in Server Manager.
In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
Failed to fetch servers from database.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install update rollup 2975719. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
