This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Office 2013 hotfix package that is dated June 11, 2013.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You have some Office documents that are synchronized between the local disk and Microsoft OneDrive or Microsoft OneDrive for Business.

    • You upload a file to the Office Upload Center, and then you receive an error message.

    • You delete the file on the local disk.

    • You discard the changes for the file in the Office Upload Center.

    In this situation, you unexpectedly receive the following error message:

    The action can't be completed because the file is open. Close the file and try again.

  • You cannot save a document as a webpage (.html or .htm) to a local Microsoft OneDrive for Business folder in Microsoft Word 2013 or Microsoft Excel 2013.

  • When you start to synchronize a document library and then exit OneDrive for Business, OneDrive for Business freezes for several minutes.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • A file conflict occurs between a local folder in OneDrive for Business and a Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 document library.

    • You open the file in an Office application, and then you click Keep Server Version in the Resolve Conflict dialog box.

    • You make some changes to the file in an Office Web App.

    • You open the file in the Office application again.

    In this situation, you cannot download the changes for the file from the server.

This hotfix package may not contain all the files that you must have to fully update a product to the latest build. This hotfix package contains only the files that you must have to resolve the issue that listed in this article.

The global version of this hotfix package uses a Microsoft Windows Installer package to install the hotfix package. The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
