Your iPhone and Surface work great together. Just set up iTunes and iCloud on your Surface, and then connect your phone.
This page doesnt apply to Surface Laptop running Windows 10 S.
If you use iCloud already, keep using it with Surface
If you already use iCloud to sync your files and photos, just keep using it. Download and install iCloud for Windows on your Surface, and then sign in with your Apple ID.

Heres whatll sync between iCloud and your Surface:
Your iCloud photos (both new and old) are added to an iCloud Photos folder inside the Photos folder on Surface. To download your iCloud photos to your Surface, follow these steps:
- Download and install iCloud for Windows on your Surface.
- Restart Surface.
- iCloud will prompt you to sign in. If you dont see the pop-up window, type icloud in the search box on the taskbar, and then select iCloud.
- In the app, next to Photos, select Options. The default settings will upload, store, and sync your photos between your PC and iCloud, but you can change these settings if youd like. For help with settings, see iCloud help.
Surface comes with the Photos app, where you can see all your photos and videos from your devices, edit them, and even draw on them.
To open the Photos app, type Photos in the search box on the taskbar.
Your favorite websites
Your Safari favorites are added to Microsoft Edge (or another web browser of your choice).

To try it out, select Microsoft Edge on the taskbar, or type Edge into the search box on the taskbar, and then select Microsoft Edge.
Mail, contacts, and calendar
Download and install Microsoft Outlook on your Surface. When you sign in to iCloud, your mail, contacts, and calendars sync with Microsoft Outlook.
And if you use web mail, like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or Outlook.com, just browse to the site and sign in.
Your other files will sync, too
An iCloud Drive folder, with any files you have stored on iCloud, is added to the Quick access section in the left pane of File Explorer. File Explorer is like Finder on a Mac. To open it, select File Explorer on the taskbar, or type File Explorer in the search box on the taskbar.
Use iTunes on your Surface
If you use iTunes on your Mac, download and install iTunes for Windows on your Surface.
Heres what you can do with iTunes and Surface:
Use iTunes to manually sync your iPhone
Plug your iPhone into your Surface, just like you did on your Mac. iTunes will open automatically.
Sign in to iTunes to access purchases youve made from the iTunes Store
Of course, you can get to the music, movies, and anything else youve purchased from iTunes on your Surface. Heres how:
- Open iTunes on your Surface, and then select Account > Authorizations > Authorize this Computer.
- Enter your Apple ID and password in the new window, and then select Authorize.
Songs, videos, and other purchases youve made from the iTunes Store will be there.
