Contact Microsoft support for help deleting a personal Clipchamp account. For organization-managed accounts, see Work or school accounts.
Important
The self-service account deletion process in the previous Clipchamp app has been removed. You can no longer submit a deletion request through the old account-settings page or direct deletion link.
Before deleting
- Export and save copies of videos you want to keep, and keep copies of your source media.
- If your projects are stored in OneDrive, manage those files separately. Don't assume an account-deletion request removes copies in OneDrive, on your device, or shared elsewhere.
- Deleting Clipchamp data isn't the same as closing your Microsoft account. In your request, specify that it's for Clipchamp, not other Microsoft services.
- Account deletion doesn't cancel a paid subscription. To stop paying without deleting your account, cancel your Clipchamp subscription instead.
Request help with account deletion
- Go to Microsoft support.
- Sign in if prompted. Explain that you want to delete your personal Clipchamp account, and give the email address that's associated with it.
- Before you confirm any request, ask which deletion options are available for your account and which data they cover.
If the delete option or page doesn’t work
Opening an old link doesn't submit a deletion request. If a deletion link redirects you to the sign-in page or the home page, contact Microsoft support instead.
Work or school accounts
Your organization manages work or school Clipchamp accounts. Contact your Microsoft 365 admin or IT help desk about account or data removal. The personal-account process in this article doesn't apply to organization-managed accounts.
Clipchamp on iOS
The Clipchamp iOS app is no longer supported. For help with an account deletion request, use Microsoft support rather than the retired app.
After deletion
If you already submitted an account deletion request, you might not be able to sign in while it's processed. Contact Microsoft support if you need an update. Creating a new account won't restore data that has been permanently deleted.
