This security update resolves a cross-site-scripting (XSS) vulnerability that exists if Microsoft SharePoint Server does not ccorrectly sanitize a specially crafted web request to an affected SharePoint server. To learn more about the vulnerability, see the following security advisories:

Note To apply this security update, you must have the release version of Service Pack 1 for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013 installed on the computer.
Improvements and fixes
This security update contains a fix for the following nonsecurity issue:
- If you visit a Content Search Web Part (CSWP) from the Google page viewer, or if you set the AlwaysRenderOnServer boolean value in a CSWP to True, the web part displays no content after update 4461549 is applied. After this update is applied, CSWP works as expected.
Note To fix this issue completely, you have to install 4475608 together with this update.
