FIX: ADO.NET Provider for DB2 tracing is always enabled impacting system resources

Symptoms


ADO.NET provider for DB2 consumes high CPU when tracingis initialized but not configured.

Cause


ADO.NET provider for DB2 traces all operations eventhough tracing is not enabled in app.config or defined in Host IntegrationTrace Definition (HITD) files.

Status


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. 

Resolution


This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for Host Integration Server:
