FIX: Unable to encrypt data when using column encryption with symmetric keys in SQL Server 2019

Assumeyou have cryptographic keys from Extensible Key Management (EKM) providers in SQL Server 2019. You may notice encryption is failing when usingthese keys for column-level encryption or to encrypt other cryptographic keys.


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
