SUMMARY

Some times Windows XP does not show time correctly, either it gets advanced or decreased. In this case one has to un-register the Windows time module and then re-register it.

Tips

RESOLUTION:-
 
1] Open a Command Prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt. 
 
2] In the Command Prompt type the following commands. After each command press the Enter key.:-
 
    net stop w32time  
    w32tm /unregister 
    w32tm /register    
    net start w32time 
 
3] Close the Command Prompt window.
