These steps are for adding Exchange or Microsoft 365 based email to classic Outlook for Windows. For Pop or IMAP based mail like GMail, see Add a Gmail account to Outlook for Windows.

On the File tab, select Info, choose Account Settings and then Account Settings.

On the Email tab, under Name, select a mailbox from the list and then choose Change > More Settings.

Select Advanced, then select Add. Enter the mailbox to add (such as info@contoso.com) and select OK, and OK again.

Select Next > Done > Close.

For new Outlook, scroll to the bottom of the folder pane, then select
Add Account. -
Select a suggested account from the dropdown menu or enter a different account (such as info@contoso.com) and choose Continue.

If prompted, enter your password for the account, then select Done.
