You can add a screenshot, screen recording, audio (such as background music), or video to a slide.

Open the slide where you want the screenshot to be inserted.

On the Insert tab select Screenshot in the Images group.

Do one of the following

Select a window to do a full-window screenshot.

Select Screen Clipping to define the area on your screen that you want to capture. You should have the window you want open so when PowerPoint is hidden, that window is shown.

You can record your computer screen and related audio, and then embed it into your PowerPoint slide―or save it as a separate file. For more info, see Record your screen in PowerPoint.

Open the slide where you want to add the video.

In the Insert tab select Media and chooseÂ
 Video. -
On the Insert Video From menu, select This Device.Â

 Browse to the location where the video file is stored, choose the file and select Insert.

Select the video on the slide and use the Playback tab to set Video Options like when to Start, Loop until Stopped, or setting the Volume.
By default, the video will automatically play when the slide appears on the screen.Â

On the Insert tab select Media, choose Video and pick Online Video.

Type or paste the URL for the video to embed.

Open the slide where you want to add the audio file.

On the Insert tab select Media and chooseÂ
 Audio. -
Select Audio on My PCÂ and then browse to the location on your computer or network where the audio file is stored.

Choose the file and select Insert.

Select the
 Audio icon on the slide and use the Playback tab to set Audio Options like when to Start, Play Across Slides, or Loop until Stopped.

Open the slide where you want to add the audio.

On the Record tab and selectÂ
 Audio. -
In the Record Sound dialog box, type a name and selectÂ
 Record. -
Begin speaking or playing your own audio.Â

Select
 Stop when you are done recording. -
To preview the audio recording, select
 Play. -
Select OK, and the audio player appears on the current slide.
By default, the recording plays automatically when the slide is displayed.
