  1. On the View tab, choose  Slide master button icon. Slide Master and select the first slide in the left pane. 

  2. On the Insert tab, select  Draw text box button Text Box, and drag the cursor to form a text box.

  3. Type the text of the header into the text box, and drag the text box to the top of the slide.

  4. On the View tab, select  Normal view button icon. ​​​​​​​Normal to see your changes.

Tip: You can also add or edit footer for slides.
