Specifies the behavior of a dynamic connector.

Line Routing

Style

Sets the routing style for the selected connector. Look at the preview to see the style you want.

Direction

For some connector routing styles (Flowchart, Tree, Organization Chart, and Simple), you can set the direction or flow of the routing style. Look at the preview to see the direction you want.

Reroute

Specifies when the selected connector is rerouted.

Freely The connector is rerouted whenever needed. This is the default setting for a dynamic connector.

As Needed The connector is rerouted when a placeable shape is moved onto its path or when a leg of the connector would cross through a shape to which it is connected.

On Crossover The connector is rerouted when a leg of the connector would cross through a shape to which it is connected. When you manually change the path of a connector, the connector is assigned this setting.

Never The connector will never reroute, even when a leg of the connector crosses through a shape to which it is connected.

Appearance

Specifies whether connectors are straight or curved. Look at the preview to see which style you want.

Line Jumps

Add

Specifies when to add line jumps to the selected connector. This setting interacts with the Add line jumps to option on the Layout and Routing tab of the Page Setup dialog box.

As page specifies Adds a line jump to the selected connector as specified by the page setting. For example, if the selected connector is a horizontal connector and the page setting is Horizontal Lines, the selected connector will have a line jump when it crosses a vertical connector.

Never Prevents line jumps on the selected connector, even if the connector would normally receive one. For example, if the selected connector is a horizontal connector and the page setting is Horizontal Lines, the selected connector will never have a line jump, even when it crosses a vertical connector.

Always Adds a line jump to the selected connector, even if the connector normally would not have one. For example, if the selected connector is a horizontal connector and the page setting is Vertical Lines, the selected connector will have a line jump when it crosses a vertical connector.

Always to other Prevents line jumps on the selected connector and adds line jumps to the crossed connector. For example, if the selected connector is a horizontal connector and the page setting is Horizontal Lines, the selected connector will not have a line jump when it crosses a vertical connector, but will force the vertical connector to have a line jump.

To neither Prevents line jumps on both the selected connector and any connector it crosses.
