You can set a default font for either the current document or the active template. When you set a default font for the active template, usually Normal.dotm, every new document you open uses the font settings that you selected and set as the default. You can create different templates to use different default font settings.

Select This document only? to apply your changes only to the current document.

Select All documents based on Normal .dotm template? to apply changes to any document based on the Normal template.
Select OK to apply your changes.
