  1. For classic Outlook, double-click a message to open it in a new window, then select anywhere in the Subject line.

  2. Press Ctrl+A to select the whole line, then type a new subject line.

  3. When you're done, select Outlook Save Button Icon  Save, or press Ctrl+S.

Note: If you're creating a new message, just select the subject and type a new line.
