Select the File menu and select Options.

On the General tab, under Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office, enter your name and initials and select OK. The name you enter here will appear next to comments and edits and when you use track changes.

Changing how your username appears isn't currently possible in Word for the web. You can, however, change your username in the Word desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.

Go to the Word menu, select Preferences and choose User Information.

Under User Information, enter your name and initials.

Optionally, check Always use this name regardless of how I'm signed in to Office if you want to use this username everywhere.
