Select the text to make into a style.

On the Home tab, select the
Styles dialog box launcher in the Styles group. -
Select
New Style at the bottom of the dialog box. -
Give your style a name in the Create New Style from Formatting box, and select OK.
Tip: You can also make changes to the style in the Create New Style from Formatting box.

Select the text you'd like to make into a style.

On the Home, select
Styles pane. -
In the pane that appears, choose New Style.

Give your style a name and select OK.
Creating and modifying a style isn't currently possible in Word for the web. You can, however, Create and modify a style in the Word desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.
