On Windows 10, you can delete a sticky note three ways:

From the list of notes, right click or tap and hold a note, and then click or tap Delete note.

From the list of notes list, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( ... ) to the right of a note, and then click or tap Delete note.

From an open note, click or tap the ellipsis icon ( ... ) and then click or tap Delete note.
Clicking or tapping the close icon ( X ) only closes the note and does not delete it.
Important:

Note deletion is permanent. It cannot be undone.

You can minimize the chance of deleting notes by mistake by making sure you've turned on the note deletion warning. Click or tap the Settings icon located on the upper right of the list of notes, and then set the Confirm before deleting button to On.
You can delete a sticky note on your iPhone or iPad two ways.

Delete a sticky note on your iPad

Open OneNote for iPad, and then on the Home tab, tap the Sticky Notes icon.
You may need to sign in with the same Microsoft account to see your notes across your devices.

Do one of the following:
