Go to Excel on the top toolbar and select About Microsoft Excel.
You'll see the current version and who has the license.
Excel for the web is part of the Microsoft 365 subscription suite of online apps. It updates to the most current version automatically every time you log in.

To find the build number, go to File and select About.

At the bottom of the page under Recommended, you can the Build version.
