If you need to install or reinstall Office Professional Plus, Project Professional, or Visio Professional through your employer's Microsoft Workplace Discount Program (formerly known as Home Use Program), you're in the right place.
If you didn't buy an Office product through your employer's Workplace Discount Program benefit, go to Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2019 on a PC or Mac.
Install or reinstall your Office product
Applies to: Office Professional Plus, Project Professional, Visio Professional
Note: You can only reinstall Office if the Software Assurance agreement is still valid and you are an active employee of the company.

If you don't have your product key, go to www.microsoft.com/home-use-program/order-history. Enter the work email address that you used to buy Office. This will send an email to your work address that contains a list of all products you purchased on www.microsofthup.com, along with their product keys.
Note: If you don't receive an email, this could mean that you bought your Office product through the new Workplace Discount Program site at www.microsoft.com/homeuseprogram. If so, see Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2019 on a PC or Mac.

When you have your product key, go to https://setup.office.com.

Sign in using your Microsoft account. This is not the email account you use at work.
If you don't have a Microsoft account, you can create one. A Microsoft account is required to download your Office product through this website.

Enter your Office product key (from the email you received) and select your country or region and language. Select Next.

Review the option to receive surveys, promotions, and tips. Select Next.

Select Download Now.

Depending on your browser, select Run (in Edge or Internet Explorer), Setup (in Chrome), or Save File (in Firefox).

If you see the User Account Control prompt that says, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? select Yes.

Your install is finished when you see the phrase, You're all set! Office is installed now and an animation plays to show you where to find Office applications on your computer. Select Close.

To open an Office app, select the Start button (lower-left corner of your screen) and type the name of an Office app, like Word.
If you have Windows 8.1 or 8.0, type the name of an Office app on the Start screen. Can't find your Office apps?

To open the Office app, select its icon in the search results.

Accept the license agreement and privacy option when prompted.

If the Activation wizard appears, follow the steps in the wizard to complete activation.
Install or reinstall using your Workplace Discount Program product key

Start any Office app and do one of the following:
If you see Sign in to set up Office, select I don't want to sign in or create an account (it's a small link at the bottom of the window).
If you see Hello, confirm your account, select Use a different account, then select I don't want to sign in or create an account.

In the Enter your product key screen, enter the product key to activate Office.

Agree to the License terms by selecting Accept and start Word.
