If you want to start a new group but keep the members from a group you already have, you can easily clone your groups in GroupMe.

From your Chats, select the group you want to clone.

Select the group's avatar (profile picture).

Select Settings .

Select Clone Group.
Note: If your group has topics, the topics will not be copied over to your cloned group.

Enter the new group name and group avatar (profile picture).

The members from your original group will be added by default. To add members, type their name, phone number, or email, or scroll through your current GroupMe contacts.

Select the checkmark to create your group.

From your Chats, select the group you want to clone.

Select the group's avatar (profile picture).
Note: On iPad, you can simply tap Settings at the top of the screen in a group chat.

Select Settings .

Select Clone Group.
Note: If your group has topics, the topics will not be copied over to your cloned group.

Enter the new group name and group avatar (profile picture).

Select Done to create your group.
