How do I validate my college or university email in GroupMe?

To join groups in GroupMe Campus for your college or university, you will need to validate your college/university email address to access the list of groups for your school.

Note: GroupMe Campus is currently available at colleges and universities. If you enter your school email address and receive an error that says No GroupMe Campus found for this email, please contact customer support to request setup for your school.

  1. Tap Discover  Campus Connect button and then Get Started.

  2. Tap Join your campus, enter your college/university email address (the email address provided by your college or university), then select Get PIN.

  3. When you get your PIN at your school email address, enter it in the PIN field, then select the check mark  Done button. What do I do if I didn’t get my PIN?

What if my college or university isn’t listed?

If you enter your college/university email address and receive an error that says No communities found for this email, please contact customer support.

  1. Sign in to GroupMe.

  2. Select Discover Campus Connect button on the left side of the screen.

  3. Enter your college/university email address (the email address provided by your college or university), then select Get PIN.
