I get a certificate error when joining a Skype Meeting Broadcast

Let's say you want to schedule a Skype Meeting Broadcast. You go to the scheduling portal to create the meeting and see the following error:

There are two possible reasons for this error:

1. You haven't been assigned the permissions that will allow you to create meetings. You'll need to contact your admin to request permission.

2. Your tenant region isn't recognized.
