On the Insert tab, select the down-arrow next to
Equation. -
Choose an equation or select
Insert New Equation to type your own.
To edit an existing equation, select it and use symbols and structures on the Equation tab to update.
Tip: If you're working in a table, you can use the sum formula to calculate a range of cells.

Build your equation using the Symbols and Structures tabs.

Select Insert on page when you complete the equation you want.
