To add a clickable thumbnail image that links to the PDF:

On the Insert tab, select
File Attachment. -
In the dialog box that appears, navigate to the PDF and select Insert.
To insert the PDF as a series of images (one image per page):

On the Insert tab, select
File Printout. -
In the dialog box that appears, navigate to the PDF and select Insert.
To add a clickable thumbnail image that links to the PDF:

On the Insert tab, select
Insert File Attachment. (If you're using the Simplified Ribbon, on the Insert tab, select File and choose Insert File Attachment.) -
In the dialog box that appears, navigate to the PDF and select Open.
To insert the PDF as a series of images (one image per page):

On the Insert tab, select
Insert File Printout. (If you're using the Simplified Ribbon, on the Insert tab, select File and choose Insert File Printout.) -
In the dialog box that appears, navigate to the PDF and select Open.

On the Insert tab, select
File. -
In the dialog that appears, navigate to the PDF and select Open.

In the dialog box that appears, select one of the following:

Upload to OneDrive and insert link to store the PDF file on OneDrive.

Insert as attachment to add a clickable thumbnail image that links to the PDF.

Insert as Printout to insert the PDF as a series of images (one image per page).
