Select a slide, then go to Insert > Shapes.

Select a shape, then click and drag the cursor to draw the shape on the slide.

To edit the shape, select the Shape Format tab on the ribbon.

Choose any of the following options to refine the look of your shape:

Choose the Shape Styles gallery to select a preset color and style.

Choose Shape Fill to select a color.

Choose Shape Outline to select a shape border style such as dotted or sketched.

Choose Shape Effects to apply an effect such as Shadow or Bevel, which can give a shape a three-dimensional appearance.

When you select a shape, it's placed on the center of your slide. Drag the shape to move it, and drag a corner handle as needed to resize the shape.
