  1. Place your cursor where you'd like to add a simple text box or fancy callout.

  2. On the Insert tab, select  Text box button Text Box.

  3. Choose a design or select Draw Text Box.

  4. If you choose to draw your own, press and hold your mouse and draw a box on the page.
