Go to File >Â Info.Â

Select Protect Presentation, and then choose Encrypt with Password.

Enter the password and select OK. Enter the password again when prompted, and then save the presentation to secure it.
Important:Â Forgotten or lost passwords can't be recovered.Â

Go to File >Â Passwords.Â

Select Password to open or Password to modify.

Enter the new password in the New password field, again in the Verify field.

Select Set Password and then select OK.

Adding a password to your presentation isn't currently possible in PowerPoint for the web. You can, however, add a password in the PowerPoint desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop App.
