  1. In the calendar, open an appointment or meeting that you organized and you want to make private in classic Outlook.

  2. On the Appointment or Meeting tab, select Outlook Private button icon Private. If you don't see  Outlook Private button icon Private, select either More commands (Generic Ellipsis button) > Private, or go to Tags > Private.

  3. Save the appointment or send the meeting update. The details will be visible to only you and the meeting attendees.
