The polling experience of Forms app in Teams meetings will gradually be replaced by the Polls app starting August 2024. In the meantime, Forms app for survey experience remains unchanged across Teams. Learn more and get help with the Polls app.

You can find a list of features that are no longer available in Microsoft Forms.

Add Forms to a Teams channel or chat

  1. Go to the channel or chat in which you want to include a poll. At the bottom of your Teams window, select Messaging extensions More options button  

  2. Type Forms in the search box or find the Forms app by choosing More apps.

  3. Select Forms and click Add. You'll see the new Forms app on your Teams app list or at the bottom of your Teams window.

The Microsoft Forms app works the same as the Poll app, but with additional features like better collaboration, intelligent suggestions, and privacy tools.

Note: Note: If you or your organization created polls through the Poll app, you’ll still be able to access your previous Poll cards in Teams chat and people can still respond to them. Your previous polls won’t be deleted, but we suggest that you download the previous poll results as a backup file.
