If you've received an error message after trying to insert pictures from your camera into OneNote for the web, you may need to grant your browser permission to use the camera before trying again.
Note: The required steps depend on the browser you're using with OneNote. Instructions for Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox are provided below. Before you begin, make sure that you've updated your browser to its latest version.
Microsoft Edge
If you use this browser with OneNote for the web, do the following:

To the left of the Address box at the top of the browser window, click the padlock icon that appears in front of the site URL starting with https://.

On the menu that appears, click Permissions for this site.

Click the drop-down menu next to Camera, and then select Allow.

Close the Settings tab to return to OneNote, and then press Ctrl+R on your keyboard to reload the current page. You can also press the F5 function key to refresh the page.

Select Insert > Picture > From Camera.
Note: If you continue to see an error message that prevents you from inserting a picture from your camera into OneNote for the web, please report the issue by clicking Help > Feedback on the OneNote ribbon.
Google Chrome
If you use this browser with OneNote for the web, do the following:
