  • Check your Windows audio settings.Ā Press the Windows key and type Microphone privacy settings. Select Microphone privacy settings from the Start menu. Make sureĀ Let apps access your microphone and Microphone accessĀ are turned on. For more on audio in Windows, see Fix sound or audio problems in Windows.

  • Is your microphone unmuted? When in a meeting, select the Teams microphone iconĀ microphone buttonĀ in the meeting controls toolbar.

  • If you're in a meeting, select MoreĀ (Generic Ellipsis button) in meeting controls, and choose Teams audio settingsĀ Audio settings. Check your microphone selectionĀ and see if it's showing varying levels as you speak.

  • If you're not in a meeting,Ā select Settings and moreĀ (Generic Ellipsis button) by your profile picture or initialsĀ and choose Settings gear iconSettings. SelectĀ  Teams settings device iconDevices and check your microphone choice. Try Test call button iconMake a test call.
