User Interface options
When using multiple displays: If you adjust this option, be sure to restart Outlook for the change to take effect.
-
Optimize for best appearance: Automatically adjust to screen changes so text and images look sharp on your screen. This is the recommended mode for most users, and it is the default. Office applications will be crisp as they move between monitors, but older add-ins and external code may have rendering problems.
-
Optimize for compatibility (application restart required): Disabling this option can fix issues like buttons and text being too big or too small to read. If you're experiencing display issues, use this mode to disable dynamic scaling for the current application. When dynamic scaling is disabled and the app is on a secondary display, text in the entire app may be blurry.
Show Mini Toolbar on selection: Select this option to show the Mini toolbar when you select text. The Mini toolbar provides quick access to formatting tools.
Enable Live Preview: Select this option to preview the effects of formatting changes in messages.
ScreenTip style: Select a style to control whether Outlook displays screentips and feature descriptions with button names.
Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office
