Record a video or audio clip in Microsoft Teams
In Teams, you can record a video or audio clip and send it to people in one-on-one and group chats. They can watch the video or listen to the audio directly in the chat.
Record a video clip using your camera

Go to any one-on-one or group chat.

Select Record a video clip
under the box where you type a message.

Select Record.
Note: You can pause and continue the recording as many times as you need.

When you're done recording, select Review.

Trim your video clip by moving the sliders in the editing tool.

When your video clip is ready to go, select Send to drop it into the chat.
Note: If you need to, you can record the video clip again. Doing so will delete your previous recording.
Record a video clip from a screen
You can record things that happen on your screen, like walkthroughs and presentations, and send them to a chat as a video clip.

Go to any one-on-one or group chat.

Select Record a video clip
under the box where you type a message.

Select Record screen.

Go to Select a screen to share, then choose the screen or window you want to record from and select Share.

The recording will last for up to one minute. You can stop or pause the recording at any time by returning to the video capture screen. Once you're done, select Stop recording.

Trim your video clip, then select Confirm trim.

The trimmed clip will now be ready to review. You can select Send if it looks good to go, or Back to make more edits. You can also re-record the video clip.
Record an audio clip using your microphone
You can record an audio clip using your microphone and send it to a chat.

Go to any one-on-one or group chat.

Select Record a video clip
under the box where you type a message.

Select Audio and then select the microphone icon near the bottom of the capture screen.

The recording will last for up to one minute. You can pause the recording at any time, and you can re-record as many times as you like.

When you're satisfied with the clip, select Review.

When you're ready to share, select Send.
Turn closed captions on or off
Video clips shared in Teams have auto-generated captions by default. If you want to turn off the captions for a video clip you're watching, select Captions . To turn them back on, select Captions
again.

Note: Record a video clip will become available as part of the public preview program and might undergo further changes before being released publicly.
