When you delete a document from Word or Windows explorer, you can recover it within 30 days from the Windows Recycle Bin.

  1. On your desktop, select Recycle Bin icon  Recycle Bin.  Not there? See Find the Recycle Bin. 

  2. In Recycle Bin you can:

    • Scan or scroll for your file. Select the Item type heading to group files.

    • Use the Search Recycle Bin box to find the file.

    • Select the Date Deleted heading to sort by date. 

  3. Select one or more files or folders and choose Restore the selected items.
