In a presentation that contains a video or audio file, go to File > Info.

Select Compress Media and choose a compression option.
Note:Â If you don't see Compress Media, your presentation either doesn't contain images or video, or it is already compressed.

If your presentation has images, you can compress them to reduce the size of the overall file.

Go to File > Compress Pictures.

Choose the Picture Quality you want. (The higher the PPI number is, the larger the picture file is.)
Reducing the size of a presentation isn't currently possible in PowerPoint for the web. You can, however, reduce the size of a presentation in the PowerPoint desktop app.

To open the desktop app, at the top of the ribbon, select
 Editing and choose Open in Desktop App. ​​​​​​​
