-
Select the shape or text box that contains the text.
-
On the Shape Format tab, select Rotate.
-
Select the option you want.
Important: The Flip Horizontal option has no effect on the direction of text. To reverse the direction of text, in the Format Shape pane, select Text Options > Text Effects > 3-D Rotation, then set X Rotation to 180°.
In PowerPoint for the web, an object can rotate on its center point, but it can't be flipped on an axis. Therefore, text in a box rotated 180 degrees will be upside down, rather than reversed and right-side up. The desktop versions of PowerPoint can flip a text box on an axis.
-
Select the text box or shape you want to rotate.
-
Click and drag the rotation handle in the direction you want to rotate the text.
