If you first see a dialog asking to upload the workbook to OneDrive, do that and then share.

  1. Select Share menu button Share on the upper-right and choose  Share menu button Share from the menu.

  2. Choose permissions for the file and select Apply.

  3. Add people who you want to share the workbook, enter a message, and select Send.

Tip: Select Insert Link button Copy Link and paste it into a chat, email, or documents to share. 

To send or share a single worksheet, copy it to a new workbook, and share that. For more info, see Copy a worksheet to another workbook
