If you first see a dialog asking to upload the workbook to OneDrive, do that and then share.

Share on the upper-right and choose Share from the menu. -
Choose permissions for the file and select Apply.

Add people who you want to share the workbook, enter a message, and select Send.
Tip: Select
To send or share a single worksheet, copy it to a new workbook, and share that. For more info, see Copy a worksheet to another workbook.
