There are two rulers in PowerPoint, the one that wraps around the edges of your presentation when you're creating it, and the one used for measuring and aligning with the Draw tools.

To show the ruler on the main presentation, go to View and select or clear the Ruler check box.

To show the ruler on the Draw tab, go to Draw and select or clear the Ruler.

To show the rulers, go to the View tab and select the Ruler checkbox.

To hide the rulers, clear the Ruler checkbox.
Note: The Ruler isn't available in all views, such as Slide Sorter. If the Ruler box is grayed out or missing, try switching to Normal view.
